Summer Is Getting Closer!!

Schools out for the SUMMER!! Ahh I love being in college just because you start summer break so much earlier than high school. I have been on a kick for running lately since I joined the TONE IT UP girls Karena & Katrina and its awesome!! Today I went on about a 3 mile run and I have never felt so good in my life after I got back.
Sorry for the sick face but I was definitely disgusting afterwards. And then of course my man calls and says he's on his way to see me. Well sorry about his luck but he saw me at my worse. We played in my garden for a little bit and it was a perfect day for it. The sun was shinning and it wasn't to hot to be out working in it either. I actually got a little sun as well. Yay!! ☀
So since I have been on break for a week  I literally have been so lazy. I mean I get my workout on but that's about it. I need to socialize...where are all my frands!?  it's been nice having my mommy home from work though so that's a plus! I really hope she doesn't have to go back soon because its nice being able to hang out with the family.
Mommy and Daddy get their pics on. Haha so funny..dad really looks into it.
Me and my bubby! We were both totally rocking our Greek wear as well! ΦΜ & ΛΧΑ. I was kinda surprised my brother joined a Frat but it's nice to be able to have something in common among many other activities!

It's Prep Time!

Getting my prepping on for a very successful workout week is what I have spent the last hour doing. I have my list made out of my workouts and have my recipes planned now just ready to put it all into action. I am doing a 8 week challenge from TONE IT UP! It is called the Bikini Series and so far I am in love <3 These two trainers are so inspirational and motivating, I cant wait to see my results at the end of my 8 weeks. I will be accompanying their workouts with my AdvoCare nutrition plan, so I hope to see really great results! :)
Here is my workout for today and I am so ready to head back home from school to complete it.

This is from toneitup.com
After I complete this workout I will be doing my Jillian Michaels Shred DVD that I am in L<3VE with!
Hope you all find some inspiration or motivation from today's post and join in with me and millions of others who are taking on Katrina and Karena's Bikini Series Challenge!

Vera Bradley Outlet Sale

Vera Bradley is one of my favorite stores to purchase purses from. My best friend and I went up to Fort Wayne, Indiana last Tuesday for the Vera Bradley Outlet Sale! I had never seen so much Vera in my life until I walked into the stadium where the sale was happening.
Walking through the doors into the room filled with Vera my friend Shelby and I knew exactly what we wanted, and we were determined to get it. We made a map from the brochure we got upon arriving and planned out where we wanted to go. Luckily everything we had our eyes on was all located relatively close. The only thing we were worried about was that they would only have a limited amount of the items we were looking for. We were totally wrong because there was literally mounds of patterns and Vera items piled up on the tables.
Here are some pictures of our aftermath. I definitely spent more than I was wanting but I was very excited for all my new goodies.

Making Progress!

Wow!! I can't believe how far I have come on my weight loss journey, and looking back at my before and afters I am really seeing the results all my friends and family have been seeing for months. My hard work and dedication has payed off so far now I just need to keep the momentum going.
Where my journey began was quite comical now looking back. It all started when I was putting on a pair of business casual pants and let me tell you I had the hardest time getting those suckers on. I think right then and there I knew I needed change but it wasn't until I had finished pulling them up it clicked when I ripped the belt loop. I got so upset because these pants at one time where actually to big to even wear. My emotions basically took over from there when I was frantically pissed off the whole evening.
From there I told my mom I needed to change something and she was there for every step of the way. I had heard about AdvoCare but just never had the money to purchase it. I eventually said hell with it and started doing products within a week after my breakdown. I had a great coach through the whole process she kept up with me and made sure I was seeing results the whole time I was on my 24 Day Challenge from AdvoCare. I had lost 10 lbs and 10 inches and finally gained some confidence back in myself.
It's been 4 months since I made my lifestyle change and I couldn't be happier with how everything is going. There are times when I dread going to the gym but after my time there I feel great! I have lost a total of 17 lbs since I started my journey and I will be continuing on until I reach my ideal self. Setting a weight for myself was my goal but now I have realized its not about the number it's about how you feel. Since I have cut so much out of my diet I have noticed extreme differences in my energy, appetite, and skin appearance. It's been overall amazing!
If you are someone like me who just needs that boost to get them motivated and going, shoot me and email and I would love to share more with you of what I'm doing!

Sisters, Pancakes, & A Date Night All Wrapped Up in ONE

5 am came way to early this morning. I got up extra early this morning, so I could make it to school by 7am to help set up for my sororities Philantrophy event we hosted today. This is the 6th year Phi Mu has held their annual Miracle Breakfast. We make pancakes and sell them to help raise money for Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. We are so lucky to get to work with Riley! Today we raised $1000!!! for the kids! I think that was a job well done for us ladies today.

This girl is one of my best friends in Phi Mu. I am so proud of her for getting into the Nursing School this past semester. I can't wait to join her next fall if I get in! Fingers Crossed!!!
Our Philantrophy chair Shelbi did an awesome job today putting on this event for us & designing our super cute aprons! I can't wait to wear it now when I cook and bake :)

My lovely big sis and I with our letters! I am going to be so sad when she graduates in May. I am going to spoil her though with some lovely Alumni gifts since she hinted hard core at it today. Haha I love this girl more than she will know. I'm going to be lost without her!
My other Katie! I love this girl sooo much. She is one smartie pants and is someone I look up to more than she would even know. Sorry for looking like a boy. Mehh..my hat doesn't quite fit my head right.
Other than having so much fun with my sisters today, me and a friend took a little drive around downtown Indianapolis for my Sociology class project. I sat in the passenger seat in my own car for once while she drove me around. I have never realized how beautiful Indy really is since I am always driving and paying attention to the road. My professor mapped out a route he wanted us to follow and observe the different areas that the route had lead us through. My favorite part of the whole drive was going down Meridian Street. There were so many beautiful mansions on this street that I never would have noticed, because I normally don't travel on the street. Even saw the Governor's house! Freaking huge but so beautiful.

Well as you can see my day was full of activities so I definitely didn't get any workout in today sadly. I might just have to hit the gym extra hard the rest of this week to get my bootay back at it. No more junk food for this girl its back at fruits, veggies, whole grains, and protein for me!

Snow Days! ❄⛄

Even though my campus refuses to cancel classes I made the decision to just not go and risk my life driving in these slippery conditions, so with that said I'm having myself a snow day!! Who would have thought we would be having this kind of weather at the end of March?! It's suppose to be Spring.  Well it looks like I am going to be very productive today and get some of my projects I have been dying to show you all up on the blog today!! So excited to share what I have been working on :)
Stay tuned!

Last Weeks Craziness

My week is looking very good I will say. The week was started off in a pretty exciting way on Monday!! My night class got cancelled..Heck ya! Zumba was on my mind the whole day since I normally can't go on Monday nights. It's kind of sad that I would rather workout than go to class ha well not really. Having a night class from 6 pm to 8:40 is not my ideal way of spending my Monday evenings, so I was very excited I got to go to Zumba and shake my booty. On Tuesday's I don't have class so I can relax, do homework, sleep in, etc, all the things that make me want to procrastinate from doing anything school related really, so homework is normally the last thing I want to be doing. I woke up with a little motivation to knock out all my homework for Wednesday though..how ironic. It helped that my boyfriend had to work because oh boy is he distracting. Love him to death but whenever we hang out there's no homework getting done for me!!! We either lay in bed all day like complete bums, watch endless episodes of Sons of Anarchy or Weeds, pig out on junk food, or go for walks in the neighborhood..which isn't really an option right now since the weather is so unpredictable here in the Hoosier state. Even though I spent sometime with him on Tuesday I managed to stay focused on my school work. It probably was the two sugar loaded cups of coffee I had in the morning though..never again will I do that. I felt like complete shit the rest of the day unfortunately. And I was so glad I had this day off from school because we had a crazy gun man on campus Tuesday. I would have been scared shitless if I was there for sure. But any-who...On Wednesday I got up for my 9 am class and got the day started with some eggs for brain food. I drive about an hour to school so I make sure I get up extra early to have breakfast and time to get ready before my hour drive adventure begins. I always pack myself snacks and lunch for school as well because man does it get expensive buying food on campus. Even though I bought a large cup of coffee..yikes. I have a little break between my classes, so I knocked out some more homework in the library with my large cup of coffee.
I so needed it I was dragging a little bit by the time noon hit, good thing I get done with classes at 4:15 on Wednesdays. Just in time for me to make my 6:30 Zumba class.
Not only was this week nuts with my crazy agenda but I managed to get two workouts in on Thursday. I have never felt any better in my life after going to them though. Pretty sure I burned off 700 calories...woohoo!! On Friday I can't even remember what I did..oops where had my memory gone. Well that was my crazy week (last week) in a nutshell.

Today (Sunday) March 24th we got a crazy snow storm in my Hoosier state. My morning class has been cancelled already so now if all my other classes could just do the same for me I'd be one happy camper! Maybe I can work on some projects I want to put up on the blog such as my cute fitness journal I have been dying to post along with my "pounds lost" "pounds to go" craft. Stay tuned tomorrow because they could be up on the blog if I get a snow day!! Fingers crossed but in the mean time hope everyone is staying safe and warm as this storm hits many states across the nation!
What the hell happened to spring?!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Top o' the morning to you! Happy St. Patty's Day everyone. Hope you all are getting on your festive gear and celebrating the day away. I'm wearing my green today!

To start off my morning I was going to make some green pancakes but I couldn't seem to find any food coloring so I had to just settle with regular yellow pancakes. These pancakes though aren't just any ole pancakes I made some delicious banana egg cakes this morning!! Yummmmmy in my tummy! Since I've been changing the ways I've been eating I had to find a healthier way to have pancakes and boy did I find a way! These mini cakes only have 31 calories in them. What could be better than that! My total calorie count this morning for 5 cakes was 155 calories! Now that's pretty awesome. I will never have to by pancake mix again because here is all you need to make them.
The ingredients:
2 eggs & 1 banana

Sounds simple enough I hope! All you do is mix these two together. Don't worry if you have clumps of bananas that's okay. Set your griddle on medium or high and pour 1/4 of your batter on your griddle. Let each cake sit for 45 secs then flip and voila they are done!
Calories 31 per mini cake

I sprinkled some cinnamon on mine and added some syrup.

These were a delicious breakfast. Can't wait to try something else to share with you all!
Enjoy your Sunday!
