Sisterhood Ice Skating

Friday night was an eventful night full of ice skating with my Phi Mu sisters. I have not ice skated in like 6 years so I was really nervous of falling straight on my ass as soon as I got out on the ice. Well I made it maybe like 20 feet and stepped out. My ass had no balance at all. My little had an orange cone to help her balance and so I decided to test it out. That thing saved my life!
As the night went on we ditched the cones and that was a scary moment for us both. Poor Nicole she was on the ground I think more than she was on the ice. We had a blast though and I can't wait to go again!

We all had so much fun skating around the ice!

Just a few of us girls stopping to get a few pictures.

This girl did an amazing job getting so many of us girls together last night! You are gonna rock as our sisterhood chair Katie!!

Mehhh...my little is the best, I am so glad we got to bond more this weekend & may be there will be more ice skating trips in the near future, because it was a blast!

My Life as a PHI MU

Joining a sorority is something I never had imagined myself doing, but 3 years ago I made the decision to RUSH! Man was that one hell of a ride. The whole weekend I wasn't really sure what I was getting myself into and wasn't confident that the girls would even like who I was. 3 years ago I was this shy, self reserved girl who was having a hard time meeting new friends at college and keeping them.
Going through recruitment and finding my new HΦΜE in Phi Mu was my missing piece. I can remember walking into their room and the girls were chanting. To be completely honest I was a little freaked out. There energy though was radiant and I began picturing myself as apart of their sorority. My decision between the two I loved the most wasn't easy, but I am so proud to call myself a ΦΜ! The first few weeks being a Phi were okay, but I didn't really find my fit until after I was initiated. I had so much fun during my Phi experience but I hadn't found that fire for ΦΜ unlike I do now. My sisters mean the world to me and I have grown because of them and my time in Phi Mu. I have met some really amazing women and have found some of my best friends here. I wouldn't be the women I am today without ΦΜ & I wouldn't trade it for the world.
It's not the best quality picture but this was the night I got my big! This girl has been there for me so much and I couldn't be more proud to be her little. Even though she's an alumi now she will always be my Phi Mu sister! I love how when we don't see each other for a long period of time we are able to pick up from where we left off last.
My precious little! Unfortunately she transferred back home so I don't have her in my Phamily or at school anymore but this girl and I were two peas in a pod! I miss you Em! On another note though we just got 50 new beautiful Phis & I can't wait to take one as my little :)
Our chapter just keeps growing! As of this past weekend we have 112 members!! We literally doubled our chapter after this past recruitment and we couldn't be more excited to be expanding!
This girl is my rock, my twin, my sister, and best friend! I literally don't know what I would do without her in my life. We know everything about one another and know what the other is thinking. Sometimes it's creepy but I never imagined to meet someone like her!
My overall thoughts!
Phi Mu has made me into a confident and strong women. I know without it I wouldn't be who I am today. For those of you who are thinking about rushing I say do it! You will be glad you did and will gain so much from the experience. The women in your chapters will be your sisters for life and no matter where you go, whom you meet, get married, how much it costs, or the birthday you forgot..your sisters will always be beside you to love, support and encourage you!
I am so happy to say I am a PHI MU!!

I'm Back in Action!

Wow it's been forever since I've posted on my blog. School got super crazy towards the end of the semester and then I started up work just a few weeks after we got out. I haven't had a break since I returned back to my summer factory job it seems. We have been working 10 hour shifts and one day during the weekend and let me tell you I am ready for a vacation. Working 3rd shift is wearing me out. Besides being a workaholic this last month I got back on my AdvoCare grind!
This is what a box of AdvoCares Herbal Cleanse looks like. It comes with 6 pouches of a Fiber Drink. 7 day herbal cleanse tablets. And 7 day probiotic pills.

Here is my product separated out for each day. Makes it so much easier when you wake up to just get started for the day.

So now I am all prepped out for the week and I started my 10 day cleanse yesterday and I'm ready to shred some unwanted waste and fat away before I head to Minnesota in a couple of weeks!! Man am I so excited to be out on the lake and just relax for a whole week. Doesn't get much better than that. Unless I was on a beach in Florida some where then yea it could get better than a lake but I will settle for a week up north. Haha.

Besides that so much has happened since I haven't been blogging in a while. I recently turned 21 (June 2) and had the best birthday weekends. My boyfriend Clay took me out two weekends in a row and I had so much fun celebrating it with him.
We had dinner at Scotty's Brewhouse in downtown Indy then hit the bars with some of my friends and sisters :) I am so grateful I have this man in my life because he will literally do anything to make me happy. I can't wait to one day be his wifey!!
I absolutely love this photo of us from the night. He truly is my Prince Charming and I can't wait to make more special memories of milestones and new chapters in our lives together. :)

Another special person I got to spend my birthday with is my big Annie!
This girl and I had an instant bond when we met and then we became big and little! I will never forget the day I got her as my big and she will never know how much laughter and great times I have had with her while she was an active member of Phi Mu. Hope to go out again really soon with all of my sisters who came out to make my birthday spectacular!!
Us at Kilroys looking like we had a pretty good night!!

Other than turning 21, which was a really big deal haha, Clay took me to see Tom Petty this last weekend! It was by far one of the best concerts I've ever been too.
Just look at all the people that came out to see this guy!
Clay and I had a blast while so did our 5 other friends that came along with us for the ride!
I'm looking a little drunk but that's okay! I kinda was haha but also was running on 4 hours of sleep from a super busy weekend. It was all well worth it though. This past month has been so much fun and I can't wait for more exciting events to come up along the way!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful sumer and hope you enjoy this post even if it was a little jumbled with multiple things that really weren't that important haha.
Well adios amigos (not sure if that's correct considering I don't know a lick of Spanish) :))

Ps! I don't always look fancy so just thought I'd share :)

Sisters, Pancakes, & A Date Night All Wrapped Up in ONE

5 am came way to early this morning. I got up extra early this morning, so I could make it to school by 7am to help set up for my sororities Philantrophy event we hosted today. This is the 6th year Phi Mu has held their annual Miracle Breakfast. We make pancakes and sell them to help raise money for Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. We are so lucky to get to work with Riley! Today we raised $1000!!! for the kids! I think that was a job well done for us ladies today.

This girl is one of my best friends in Phi Mu. I am so proud of her for getting into the Nursing School this past semester. I can't wait to join her next fall if I get in! Fingers Crossed!!!
Our Philantrophy chair Shelbi did an awesome job today putting on this event for us & designing our super cute aprons! I can't wait to wear it now when I cook and bake :)

My lovely big sis and I with our letters! I am going to be so sad when she graduates in May. I am going to spoil her though with some lovely Alumni gifts since she hinted hard core at it today. Haha I love this girl more than she will know. I'm going to be lost without her!
My other Katie! I love this girl sooo much. She is one smartie pants and is someone I look up to more than she would even know. Sorry for looking like a boy. Mehh..my hat doesn't quite fit my head right.
Other than having so much fun with my sisters today, me and a friend took a little drive around downtown Indianapolis for my Sociology class project. I sat in the passenger seat in my own car for once while she drove me around. I have never realized how beautiful Indy really is since I am always driving and paying attention to the road. My professor mapped out a route he wanted us to follow and observe the different areas that the route had lead us through. My favorite part of the whole drive was going down Meridian Street. There were so many beautiful mansions on this street that I never would have noticed, because I normally don't travel on the street. Even saw the Governor's house! Freaking huge but so beautiful.

Well as you can see my day was full of activities so I definitely didn't get any workout in today sadly. I might just have to hit the gym extra hard the rest of this week to get my bootay back at it. No more junk food for this girl its back at fruits, veggies, whole grains, and protein for me!
