Plan With Me Sunday // Hello Fall

Hi loves and happy Sunday! I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend. Mine was filled with lots of pampering and spending quality time with friends and family. Today I will be showing you this weeks spread in my happy planner.

It is not as filled out this week because I am going to try and write things down as the week goes on. I usually have my planner all filled out on Sundays but I want to try this new method and see how well it works for me. I will let you guys know how I like using this method in next weeks plan with me!

Doodles have slightly taken over this week. I find doodling fun and a way to express how you are feeling. I've never been great at it but sometimes I enjoy doodling away.

Until next time!

Plan With Me // Month At A Glance...HELLO SEPTEMBER!

Hi loves! I hope you all are having a wonderful Sunday! I've spent part of the day with my love before he went to work and then I have just been planning for a new week ahead. Not only do I have a brand new spread to share with you all today in my Happy Planner, but I also have what the month of September will look like as well. I am so excited to share this with you! I had so much fun planning for this next month, because Jesus & I have some fun things planned such as a wonderful weekend in Chicago!

We could not be more excited. So let's just get started with the month of September.
Here are the products I used to create this month's spread as well as the weekly spread I will share here in a bit.

I used 3 of the sticker books from Me and My Big Ideas, the rose gold basic stickers as well as the rose gold washi tape, and then these travel themed stickers I picked up from Wal-Mart. I am obsessed with how everything turned out!

Along the side of the planner I put in a sticky note with important dates to remember for the month for when I was filling out my planner. Sometimes I put these in each month and just make lists of what events are coming up. This helps me remember what I have going on for when it's time to fill out the monthly spread.

The finished product! I am sure I will be adding in more as the month goes on, but for now it's as full as it is going to get! I love just the simplicity of it and how cute it turned out. Besides posting blogs on Sunday's and Wednesday's regularly what else would you all like to see posted on the blog? I am opening up the floor to you all because you are the reason why I am here! I love writing but I want to bring you all content you want to read. I would love to maybe do a DIY or Tutorial every now and then or even something more with beauty. Let me know down in the comments what your interests are. :)

Now let's take a look at the last week in August and the beginning of September. This is one of my favorite spreads so far in my Happy Planner. It's simple, there is a ton of white space, which I love, and it still looks like a planner. I have noticed a lot of people are not using their planner as a planner, but more of a showcase of how good they can decorate their planner. This to me is fine if you don't use the Happy Planner for planning out your weeks, but my question is where do you actually write things down when you cover the planner with stickers and such? Don't get me wrong I love looking at how beautiful other spreads are and their are some really gorgeous thought out spreads, but I personally don't have the time to take hours to do so.
I guess I am just one who really loves simple and lots of white space so I can still write down things throughout the week if I need to. Plus it isn't something that I have to spend so much time on either. I get everything planned out and then have time to spend my Sunday doing other things. :)

Up close and personal...notice those smudges of chocolate...ooops haha was going to just cover it with a motivational sticker but then said heck with it because you know what I am sure I will have more smudges or even coffee stains someday in this planner.
I do take my planner everywhere so it is worn down already and I have only had it for 2 whole months! That is crazy.

This part of my spread I am very in love with, because it makes me that much more excited about our adventure coming up in less than a week! I have been to Chicago once before, but I am so excited to be going with my love to explore the city with him and try some delicious foods. We are also big shoppers, so we are super excited to buy some new clothes and goods while we are away.

I hope you all enjoyed this weeks spread and a look at what September will look like for me. I did rant a little in this blog post, sorry for that, but I just had to get that little moment off my chest. I hope all you planner babes out there enjoy these plan with me's and keep coming back every week for what's next.

Plan With Me // August Edition Pt. 2

Hi loves and happy Sunday! I hope you are all enjoying the weekend and getting ready for a wonderful week ahead.
This week I am bringing you my space where I like to think about the week ahead and gather my thoughts and ideas.
We have a beautiful deck off the back of our house where I love to come out and sit once in awhile and just think. It is very peaceful out here in the country and makes my Sunday mornings very relaxing.
I love bringing my coffee, planner, and laptop out and just getting my work done for the days ahead.

Creating a space where you will enjoy spending your time, whether it is for a few minutes of the day or whether it is for a whole hour is my #1 tip to being able to accomplish a lot on your to-do lists. It also makes it exciting when you do need to get work done etc.

Now let's just jump into what my weekly schedule looks like. I don't have too many events coming up this week, just working and getting in my daily workouts.

Each week I like to think of a theme out of all the products I have and stick to the same color scheme. You've probably noticed this in my last two plan with me posts that I stick to a few colors and follow it throughout for the week.
Just check out all these fun and colorful stickers and washi tape. They are so cute and I love using them in this planner.

This week is pretty simple. I don't have a whole lot going on and I still have a ton of room if I need to add in little things here and there throughout the week. Overall I love this weeks look. I first started off with the pink washi tape and went from there. It took me a little bit to flip through my different sticker booklets to find the stickers I wanted to use as motivation this week. Overall I love how it turned out! Hope you all enjoy your week ahead and have fun planning it out!

Ooh I Love Office Supplies

After I got off work this morning I made a pit stop to Wally-World and got nothing on my list! Why do I do that to myself I needed 3 things and came out with only one item I really needed. I tend to stroll threw the place like I have all this cash to just spend and what do you know I easily could have spent over a hundred doll hairs!
Well you guessed it Office Supplies are my weakness! Here is all the shit I thought I needed for school. What's inside you maybe asking.
4 Notebooks
3 Packs of pencils
3 Tab dividers $1 each couldn't pass them up!!

Dry erase markers

Sorry for being M.I.A.

Welcome to my blog! Sorry I have been M.I.A. lately its crazy to think that this is already my 4th week of the Spring Semester and time has been flying by. Homework has kept me busy non-stop with weekly readings and papers. Not only am I busy with school work, but my sorority has had a lot of events since we have come back from Christmas Break. I have been appointed for a couple of positions, so they take a little time out of my days for planning events. I love every bit of it though! :)
With all of that I plan on talking about how I manage my time, organizing school work, and etc. Being organized and prepared for classes are just one success you can have. I have noticed things that have worked for me and things that haven't worked for me with being successful in managing my time with school work and keeping up on everything I need to get done that week. To start off I am going to tell you some essential items I use to keep myself prepared for the week.

#1: Use a PLANNER!! I use a Lilly Pulitzer planner and I love it. I write down all my assignments for my classes as well as sorority events I have coming up throughout the semester. First thing I do when I find out my classes is I print out each syllabus for my classes. I take out my planner and write down EVERYTHING. I feel this has really helped me stay focused on what tasks I need to get done during the week and I know what assignments are due on certain days. Here is a picture of my Lilly Pulitzer planner!!!

#2: Make To-Do Lists.  These have been very effective for me. I started making really detailed to-do lists back in the summer when I was working 40+ hours a week. Even though it was the summer I had a lot to get done each day. As I was at work I would think of things (mostly chores) that I needed to get done. I would find my to-do lists having 10 chores or more on them, but I loved getting everything checked off my lists for that day.

#3: I love to use colorful pens and markers. They make looking at my notes or planner a little more enjoyable. I think I also just have a love for pens :) I have an assortment of pens and markers. In this picture below I also have post-its because I mark all my readings I do for my classes with these. They come in handy!

#4: Organizing filing system. I found this folder filing system at Wal-Mart for $5.00!! It comes will 6 folders and tags to name each folder. I find this better for me to use than 6 individual folders or however many classes I have. The folders seem to get worn down really easily throughout the semester and I don't like to reuse them because they don't last me more than one semester. This organizing filing system is reusable which is a HUGE bonus for me because I'm on a very tight budget. I love this filing system because it fits right in my backpack as well! Overall I love my newest addition to organizing my papers!!

#5: Notebooks! I am an organizing junkie so when I spotted these notebooks at Wal-Mart I knew I had to get them! They are perfect for me and they let me put my syllabus right in the front so I know what I am doing in class that week. They also have a pocket inside for any additional papers I need handy. I will continue to use and buy these notebooks, because they have been the best ones I've used since being in school.

Okay so you got your essential items now its time to tell you how I work out my busy schedule. I use my planner everyday of the week to make sure I am on the right track. My to-do lists allows me to keep up on the assignments I have due and when. On every Sunday I bring out my planner and I write down all the events (normally sorority stuff) that are going on that week. I look to see what tests, readings, assignments, and papers I have for that week and I start a new to-do list for the week. I post a to-do list in my planner & one up on my bulletin board so I am constantly reminded of my school work. This system has really been working for me. I have been studying a lot harder because I am more aware of what my assignments are because of this method I'm using. Feel free to use this technique :) and please comment below if you enjoyed this post or even have a way of staying organized with a busy schedule of your own and how you do it!

My Financial Plan UPDATE!!

So if you have been a follower of my blog for awhile you will remember the post about My Financial Plan. This post got me so excited after I finished writing it I immediately started getting my financial situation together. Well I hadn't read the book when I wrote my last post, but after I shared my thoughts with you all I got on the ball and starting reading Dave Ramsey's book, The Total Money Makeover.

It is a very inspirational book to read, because he gives us all hope. After I finished his book,(in just 2 days), I set myself goals and budgets to get myself out of debt. I can say my 1st step in the Baby Steps is complete and I feel great knowing I have a little security blanket just incase of an emergency.
As a college student I am stressing of finding a way to pay for all my college expenses, but budgeting has been a lifesaver! I am learning what my money is being spent towards and when I can't afford it, I simply don't buy it. I am so grateful as well that I have such amazing, and helpful parents have been helping me with minor costs, because without them I'd be in way more debt then I already am.
So as I continue on with Dave's plan I am working this school year (something I have never done before) to have a little extra money to save up, so when I'm out of college good-bye school loans. :)

I am thinking about making a separate post to explain Dave's Baby Steps for you all and a way to be organized and give you all a little inspiration and hope, because we can do it. We shouldn't have to be in debt all of our lives, so join in and follow up on My Financial Plan and Dave's Baby Steps.
If you haven't already become a follower of my blog and leave comments I love getting new followers and reading what everyone has to say. :) Have a happy Friday!

Vacation

Tomorrow is finally the day I've been waiting for. I leave for Minnesota for a week! I can't wait to relax on the lake, fish, and have some quality bonding time with my boyfriend and his family. I'm stressing a little because I have not yet packed my bags. Ooops. I found a really awesome pin on Pinterest that I plan on using when packing my suitcase. I always struggle with trying to get everything to fit nice and neatly in my tiny suitcase, but with this pin I have found the secrets to stuffing in a weeks worth of clothes and more!
I was just amazed when I read this article. Cant wait to get my packing on!

Her finished product.

Hope everyone enjoys the week ahead of them I will be taking a little break from blogging and enjoying my vacation.

My New Planner

Planners, Planners, Planners. I just love PLANNERS. I'm excited to show you my new planner that I got yesterday. It's all from Staples. Martha Stewart has her own line in office supplies and Staples is carrying it. I went a little crazy with her products. I love Martha and office supplies.
I love my new planner. It's portable, colorful, and fun. This is great for me because it is hard to find a planner that isn't bulky when you want to add in other areas of your live. Such as maybe Menu Planning or like in mine I have my Workouts, To Do's, and Budget.

My New Planner! I am in love with this color.
I got these (Mr. Sketch) markers from Amazon.com. They are great for using in your planner. They don't bleed threw either!

Love the rainbow colors!

Here are my planner supplies I picked up from Staples :)
There are different sized binders. I just got the smaller binder so I can carry it in my purse since I use my planner everyday. The size of mine is a 5 1/2 X 8. Something like that. All I know is its the smaller one and its portable! I liked that you could pick out what you wanted to fill your planner with so I got a little bit of everything (that I would use).
Here is what the inside of my planner looks like!
Decorate your planner with whatever you feel is for you. Make it so you want to open it up and use it. I inserted a picture of me and my boyfriend (from 2 years ago). I could have used something recent, but I like this one :)  These little sticky notes are perfect to! You can jot down anything important you want to remember for the week, month, year, or just because.
Here is a look at what the calendar looks like.
The calendar filler is monthly. It goes from January 2012 to June 2013. Mine is a little bare now but in time will be completely filled with my busy schedule.
This is a section in my planner dedicated to workouts.
I have labeled 5 tabs for the most important sections in my planner.
Monthly-Calendar Section
Workouts
To Do's
Goals
Budget
This is probably one of the simplest planners I've owned and am really excited to use it because its very portable. I take my planner everywhere I go, it makes me feel so much more organized.
Would love to see what everyone else's planners look like.
Link up if you like and share what you use everyday to organize your life :)
